The five living former U.S. Presidents came together in Texas Saturday night to help raise money for hurricane relief efforts. The two Republicans and three Democrats came together for The One America Appeal, which has been set up to help those who have been caught up in the devastating effects of the recent Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.

The One America Appeal was initially launched to help victims of Hurricane Harvey, which landed in Texas, causing billions of dollars in damage in August. But after Hurricanes Irma and Maria ravaged communities in Florida Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, the effort was expanded to those communities as well.

In a pre-recorded message to concertgoers, President Obama told people that the former presidents wanted to come together to help their fellow Americans recover. George W. Bush added, "People are hurting down here but as one Texan put it, we've got more love in Texas than water."

All five former presidents appeared on stage for the anthem before settling into their seats to watch acts that ranged from Lee Greenwood, to Lady Gaga.

President Donald Trump was did not attend, but sent a message ahead of the show which praised the wonderful work his predecessors were doing and expressed his "deep gratitude" for their efforts.
