Teenager Runs Over Woman With Car After She Confronts Him For Stealing

A California woman is in critical condition after a teenager intentionally ran over her with his car. Lisa Solis followed the teen outside after she watched him steal a candy bar from a concession stand during a basketball game at Thousand Oaks High School.

Solis, who is an activities assistant in the high school’s athletics department, confronted the 16-year-old in the parking lot and stood in front of his car to prevent him from leaving. Instead of stopping, the teen accelerated and ran her over. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

Authorities tracked down the teen near his home and took him into custody. He was brought to a juvenile center and booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said he had just gotten his driver's license the day before and had two other people in his vehicle at the time.

Solis remains in the hospital in critical condition. She is making improvements but has a long road to recovery and her sister created a GoFundMe page to help with her medical expenses.
